It’s been a month of filming, editing and comedy sketches.

Geoff started the month in Spain, on a fairly manic but enjoyable 3 day shoot for MCC Co-Operative Travel covering their Rally in Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Derek was delivering one of his respected Budgeting Masterclasses at the BBC in Salford and Jo was putting her comedy writing cap on to come up with sketches for our latest joint venture with Reality Training.

Having completed a training film for the AA last year, we were back to produce a film for a different AA team. With Bob and Jeremy and their team’s acting experience, we like to use comedy sketches to illustrate the core principles behind good customer care.

This time our skits featured the worst ever Christmas present, a murder mystery (nothing too sinister – it was a chocolate cake that was killed), and a bewildered fiancé.

Filming went well and Geoff is now editing it all together, along with animated backgrounds and special effects.

Once we’d put the comedy costumes and props away, we popped down to London to film Dominic Mohan for Domino’s, then it was back on the road to zip from Halfords for ‘Friend of The Motorist’ filming to Domestic and General for a new film then back to Flogas for some extra filming.

Then it was time for Geoff’s bi-annual fashion fix, as he swept off to Monsoon Accessorize to film their Autumn/Winter 2017 product information films.

And when we weren’t filming, we were editing like mad to clear the decks for June’s filming which will include another MCC Co-Operative film, further filming for D&G and Monsoon Accessorize along with other projects we’re just waiting for the greenlight on.

Oh, and Jo won a national writing competition run by the RNLI, and our regular camera operator Anthony’s had his work chosen by Glastonbury postcards. It’s stunning – check out the banner on his twitter page @antphotos

Just when we think things are quietening down… a new client contacts us, or an existing client wants a new project.

So far this year we’ve filmed and / or edited projects for companies as diverse as D&G, Monsoon Accessorize, the AA, Autocentres, Domino’s, Linpac packaging, our regular national power company client, and Flogas.

We’ve worked on two big conferences so far – one for Halfords Autocentres, and the Domino’s Rally held in Birmingham. We produced a range of films – some of used punchy graphics to bring facts and stats about the company’s performance to life, others were celebratory and humorous, others were designed to inspire. As one of the Domino’s team commented, one film gave her ‘goosebumps’ when she watched it – and it went down well in the conference hall, too.

With our trademark graphics and ultra fast turnaround, we not only produced films FOR the conference, we shot, edited and delivered films OF the conference to play as the delegates moved from the sessions to their evening entertainment.

Then it was back to Monsoon Accessorize for internal films showcasing the newest looks for Autumn/ Winter 2017.

And Geoff got to learn even more about fashion when he completed a shoot for Pandora.

Then, just when we seemed to be going back to winter, Geoff jetted out to Spain to cover a rally for MCC Travel. All right for some…
